PlaySayWhat for Weddings

The talented Beth Kukucka of Beth Kukucka Photography has created a unique game of questions called PlaySayWhat, a game that is designed to inspire playful and creative conversations in social settings. Beth recently made a mini version of this game designed especially for weddings. PlaySayWhat for Weddings features 40 personalized questions about you and your groom. The game can be played at bridal showers, engagement parties, or even wedding receptions. Each game is packaged in a 4x3 box {as shown above} and is displayed along with an engagement photo, as well as directions on how to play the game. Each game sells for $15.00 and can be ordered by contacting Beth directly at: bethkphoto@comcast.net.

Beth is a local Pittsburgh photographer whom you may remember when we featured her work on our blog last month. Check out her website and blog for more details on the game and her photography!

Engagement Photo Session :: Tracey & Chris

A few weeks ago I shared some of my business promo photos taken by the lovely Pamela of Pamela Marie Photography, and today wanted to share one of her engagement sessions with a mutual client of ours, Tracey & Chris. Both mine, and Tracey & Chris' sessions were shot on the North Side's Riverwalk - a perfect location for a photo shoot in my opinion! As you can see from the photos, Tracey & Chris decided to bring their doberman, Barley along for the shoot and from the looks of it, the 3 of them had a blast! Barley helped Chris propose to Tracey; therefore, it was only fitting that she came along for the shoot! Tracey & Chris have been so awesome to work with this past year and I can't wait to see them tie the knot in October!!

Stay tuned for photos from their wedding later this fall!

Promotional Photos :: Pamela Marie Photography

When I first started thinking about shooting some promotional photos, I immediately knew that I wanted Pamela, owner of Pamela Marie Photography to shoot the session! Pamela is an amazingly talented wedding photographer here in the Pittsburgh area {check out her website + blog to see for yourself!} and I knew she would be the perfect fit for my photos! Several weeks ago we headed down to the North Side's Riverwalk to get some fun outdoor shots in the sun. Luckily the weather cooperated, we had a blast, and even managed to fight off a few geese here and there!

I'll be unveiling our new website later this week, which will also include a few shots from this photo session.

Thank you again Pamela...I look forward to working with you throughout the summer and into the fall!

The Kissing Tree

A friend of mine recently told me about a neat idea called 'The Kissing Tree'. I had never heard of this before, but thought it was a clever idea and had to share. I'm sure most of you know that the clinking of glasses at a wedding means that the bride + groom have to kiss. Well, The Kissing Tree is used as an alternative to this age-old tradition. The Kissing Tree looks something like what is pictured above, and on various branches of the tree, there are pre-made paper tags with questions that guests have to answer about the bride + groom. Throughout the reception, guests can head over to the tree, grab a question, and then take the question over to the DJ or MC. The MC will then read the question aloud for the guest to answer. Once they answer correctly, this signals the bride + groom to kiss. Cute, huh? I thought that this was a nice alternative to the clinking of water glasses and something that your guests will definitely walk away remembering!

Plantable Wedding Invitations

I recently stumbled upon Botanical Paperworks, an eco-friendly stationery company specializing in plantable paper products. I have to admit, when I first heard of a plantable wedding invitation, curiosity struck! In today's environment, many people (and companies) are trying especially hard to "Go Green" by choosing eco-friendly products. Botanical Paperworks offers a variety of plantable paper products, including wedding invitations, favors, greeting cards, and even calendars (and yes, you really can plant them)! To see how you can play a role in helping the environment one invitation at time, click here!
